Lol, nice take on it

Oh, Macs and the "crash-in-denial" beachball!
I'm sorry, but for this flash, you are hereby banned from the Mac community!
The PCers can never know!!! :D

Bad done well...

I think what makes this one great is that you know it's bad on purpose, almost challenging you to give a bad score to a mario flash! Well Metaphor128, I accept your challenge!!! Even though this still makes me laugh, I can't back down from the challenge! Have at you! :P

don't let them touch....

Don't listen to the tool bag below, the song is silly fun and that was makes it great.

Lame!!!

...The lamest part would be the you stole animation poses and character stying from TISM's "Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me" video by Arj Barker. How about next time, do you own animation style instead of trying (badly) to emulate someone else's?

Hahahahaha!!!

The final fantasy one was ok the Devil May Cry was funny, but Easter egg #1 has got to be the BEST easter egg ever!!! I've watched that 9 times and it's still funny! I hated those ads too. That totally saved the score, man

Great Job

I liked this flash a lot. This has to be the best Zelda art I've seen on here. Thumbs up, I can't wait to see some original, non-themed stuff. To Foamingpanda: "a painfully ignorant and childish franchise". WTF does that even mean? Ignorant of what? This flash is an inside joke for anyone who's played OoT. I doubt you have though, since you seem to hate the franchise so much, which begs the question: Why "review" something you already hate? Also, if you "knew" that Link was going to take the shopkeeper's heart (and not the one on the shelf), then you should get yourself sectioned.

Huh...

... first Satna's Pissed, now this. I hope this isn't going to be some new trend: artist who do racial commentary flashes, but don't clarify during the scenes that it is, in fact, a racial commentary. It's real simple to make it clear and just as an example I'll use the cop scene. Now as a Black man, I never get pissed off when I hear someone say n!gger (letting someone else have that much power over your mood is just stupid), but creative use of the subject matter (racism in this case) is always preferred. It's a short flash, so in keeping with that idea, you could have done something like showing the part of blackface peppering the watermelon from the police perspective, but all washed over red with the words "cop vision" somewhere in the frame. Then just to drive the point home, you could change the 'melon to, say, an super aryan baby (blonde hair, blue eyes and all) or even better, change the shaker to a gun and every time he shakes it, have it shoot into the 'melon, which is now a bomb. Just an exaggerated scene like that would show how equally exaggerated a cop's view of black people is. Honestly, I could tell that right off the bat that this was just something you did for fun and no harm was intended, you just need to do more homework on stereotypes, because you missed a couple, even for that minstrel time period. Good animation though, it was mildly funny to watch most of it unfold. But yeah, find out stereotypes from multiple people of the same race. You'll get a good idea of the stereotype in-jokes that race uses to mess around with each other, and the ones they use to insult and hurt each other (those ones, I'd recommend steering clear of, unless you're of that race, as they're usually the ones someone of another race gets beat up or killed over)

And to orochimaru556: True a good bit of Black MALES (not everyone, get your facts straight, Mr. "Consider This") prison, but the amount of Black males going to prison for heinous crimes (e.g. rape, murder, molestation) is much lower in comparison to white males. Most are thrown in through three strike laws on petty crimes. I once witnessed a white man released by the cops after stealing a plasma tv (around $3000, grand theft), because he apologized, saying he'd never done something like that before (and they believed him, no background check, nothing). I saw one of those same two cop arrest a black man for stealing some trunks from a dept store (about $35, barely petty theft), he also gave the same "I've never done this" speech, to which he got an instant "yeah, sure" from the cops.

meh...

List thing could have been funny if you really went to town with it, but you took the "safe" route. I really hoping for some crazy combinations (Like "No black jewish kids with gay mexican parent",etc). Even stupid extra add-ins like that can end up really funny. I think the reason you'll get some flak for the whole " naughty list" thing is you never really differentiated your views with your evil santa's views (in the flash anyway). A simple way to remedy this issue would be if you do something like the list, just include every major race/ group that a stereotypical racist would hate (Just some you missed were asians, mexican, arabic people, punjabis and of course, the french!) You take into account the fact that not a lot of people read the comments until after viewing the flash, if they do at all. So with that in mind you have to make sure that you REALLY drive the idea home that your santa is a walking stereotype. Otherwise, stuff like the list ends up looking a bit targeted and that raises suspicions about your artistic motive. Hope that helps!

thanx man that really helped.
Merry Christmas

Awesome

I like this one the best, it's nice to see what you can do with a storyline.

to Phobik:...Yeah, how about reading what's under "You are currently reviewing:" before you submit a review next time, noob

Amazing

I just wan't to say to the people who are downplaying the flash because a "lack of a plot", stop thinking of everything in terms of story. This is a site for flash arts, not just flash toons and games. I shouldn't need a deep plot to be deemed good. Etoli might just be doing an animation test and thought it to be something worth sharing with everyone. I just want to say that I'm glad did share, this was wonderful, your style is very original and expressive. Keep up the good work!

Etoli responds:

Well I appreciate you pointing that out--it seems most people don't really pay much attention to the artist's description. . .they would have realized that this was me stretching my legs in the program and just playing with the characters a bit. But thankyou!
